Jewellery Warranty & Care Guide

Your keepsake is made to be worn, loved and kept close.

Our jewellery is crafted primarily from stainless steel with 14K or 18K gold plating, or silver finishes. While our pieces are designed for everyday wear, a little care will help preserve their finish and keep them looking beautiful for longer.

✦ 1-YEAR JEWELLERY WARRANTY

Every Keepsake Atelier jewellery piece comes with a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects, starting from the date of purchase.

What’s covered

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects such as:

  • Faulty clasps or closures
  • Structural defects in the jewellery or hardware
  • Defective attachment of charms or components
  • Other manufacturing issues present in the product upon purchase

If your piece has a manufacturing defect, please contact us with your order number and clear photos or videos of the issue. We’ll assess the item and, where applicable, arrange a repair or replacement.

What’s not covered

Our warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Scratches, dents or accidental damage
  • Natural wear or fading of gold plating over time
  • Tarnishing caused by exposure to chemicals or environmental factors
  • Damage caused by perfume, lotions, chlorine, salt water or harsh cleaning products
  • Damage caused by improper use or care
  • Lost or stolen jewellery
  • Damage caused by alterations or repairs made by third parties

Because gold plating is a surface finish, its longevity can vary depending on how frequently and how the piece is worn.

✦ JEWELLERY CARE

Water-resistant, made for everyday moments

Our stainless-steel pieces are designed to be water-resistant and tarnish-resistant. However, they are not completely immune to wear.

For the best longevity, we recommend:

DO

  • Store your jewellery in a cool, dry place when not wearing it
  • Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear
  • Put jewellery on after applying perfume, lotions and beauty products
  • Keep pieces separated to minimise scratches
  • Store your jewellery in its pouch or box when travelling

AVOID

  • Prolonged exposure to chlorine or salt water
  • Perfume, hairspray, lotions and harsh chemicals
  • Abrasive jewellery cleaners or polishing cloths
  • Sleeping or exercising in pieces where excessive friction or sweat may occur
  • Storing jewellery while wet

A little note on gold plating

Gold-plated jewellery naturally experiences some wear over time. Areas that experience frequent friction — such as chains, clasps and surfaces that rub against skin or clothing — may show changes in finish sooner.

This is normal and is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Your piece is made to collect memories with you. A little wear along the way is part of its story.
